Midwinter's AdviceOS platform is a digital advice solution for Independent Financial Advice practices, large AFSL's, through to some of the largest profit for member superannuation funds. We are a cloud-based, open API, omni channel platform that provides financial modelling, practice management and client engagement tools, that simplify the provision of advice.As part of Bravura Solutions, you will be part of a technology company that provides services to some of the biggest financial services brands in Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.Position PurposeBased in our Sydney office, and reporting to Head of Enterprise Sales – APAC, the Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for growing Midwinter's revenues and user base in the adviser segment. Key tasks include:Collaborate with the APAC sales team to design and implement a comprehensive growth strategy balancing both financial gain and customer satisfaction/retention.Establish and actively manage a pipeline of high-value, prospective Enterprise clients.Lead the development and delivery of sales presentations tailored to financial advice practices and key strategic accounts within the financial services industry.Oversee the design and execution of advanced software demonstrations, representing Midwinter at prominent industry events to position the company as a market leader.Work with APAC Sales to lead, follow or support Midwinter sales opportunities with Bravura clients and prospective clients.Lead the creation of high-impact business proposals, including responding to complex RFPs, ensuring that all responses reflect Midwinter's strategic positioning.Main ActivitiesWhilst we expect all our employees to do what needs to be done to demonstrate their support of Midwinter Financial Services, below are some specific aspects of your role for which you will be responsible:Relationship ManagementCultivate and enhance strategic relationships with key external stakeholders, including high-value clients, industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and other key partners.Establish influential partnerships with internal senior leadership and cross-functional teams such as Product, Support, Consulting, Legal, and Finance to drive alignment and achieve overarching business goals.Leverage industry experience and a well-established professional network to provide strategic guidance on business decisions and advise on high-impact investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term growth objectives.Business DevelopmentLead the identification and engagement of high-potential clients, understanding their strategic needs and aligning them with Midwinter's comprehensive solutions.Demonstrate deep understanding of customer business objectives and decision-making frameworks to drive tailored and effective solution proposals.Collaborate with development and product teams to anticipate and address complex client needs, ensuring seamless delivery of solutions.Lead large-scale business development initiatives, campaigns, and industry events to enhance brand presence and drive growth.Define and execute strategic sales initiatives that maximize revenue growth, market share, and profitability while ensuring long-term client satisfaction.Lead the alignment of sales strategies with broader business performance objectives, ensuring cohesive execution across the team.Continuously evaluate and enhance sales processes to drive operational efficiency and deliver measurable results.Provide in-depth sales performance reporting and strategic analysis to the Head of Enterprise Sales – APAC, ensuring data-driven decision-making.Maintain proactive communication with the Head of Enterprise Sales – APAC regarding client activity and market trends, providing actionable insights for leadership.Collaborate closely with the BDM to share industry knowledge, refine sales strategies, and co-create solutions that address client needs and business objectives.Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Head of Enterprise Sales – APAC, overseeing the sales team, making key business decisions, and ensuring continuity of strategic initiatives and client engagements.In addition to the above position-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within your capability and skills, when requested to do so.Qualifications and ExperienceKnowledge of investment, superannuation, social security and taxation.Strong financial planning background desirable.Experience in Financial Services technology desirable.Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term partnerships and influence.Ability to problem solve and deliver a high standard of work.Proven ability to drive strategic relationships in existing and new markets.A passion for sales and business development.Be a team player who is also able to be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Track record in participating in design workshops and customer journey and user research sessions.Excellent organisational and communication skills.
