Senior Business Development Manager (Energy)The EV industry in Australia is set to soar, with over 180,000 EVs on Australian roads and that number continuing to grow at an accelerated pace.

The Role: This role will be solely concentrated on the energy retail industry, where you will be responsible for executing Evnex's sales strategy to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction targets.
You'll be establishing relationships and working exclusively with onboarding electricity retailers, fleet companies, and large commercial clients to grow Evnex's brand across Australia.
You will be an industry expert and know how to engage and secure deals with large energy retail entities and use data to negotiate tariffs on behalf of Evnex customers.
You will have working knowledge of the energy retail industry and will see the value in the data Evnex can provide energy retailers to create win/win situations for their customers.
Key Responsibilities and Skills: Lead sales strategy and sales targets for the electricity retailer and fleet/employee in-home channels across Australia.A strong sales background with demonstrable performance in generating, forecasting, developing, and owning large sales targets.A strong commercial background and understanding of channel plans and pricing strategies.Ability to build long-term strategic B2B partnerships that deliver value to clients.A keen interest in technology and the ability to sell complex solutions.Ability to influence the wider team to achieve the best outcomes for key clients.Provide quarterly reports and key insights for the senior leadership team.A strong track record of building, leading, and negotiating large contracts, RFPs, and winning tenders.Ability to establish strong relationships between the sales and operations teams across markets.Contribute positively to the team culture and embrace the company core values by demonstrating authenticity, fun, excellent customer service, and an aptitude for growth.What We're Looking For: The right candidate will have a strong sales background in the energy industry and will be comfortable in planning and executing the sales strategy.
You will have a sharp mind and the ability to quickly interpret and translate technical information.
Our client's sales culture is highly relationship-based; you will build strong relationships and get a kick out of providing a great outcome for the customer.
You May Be a Good Fit If You Can Demonstrate the Following: At least 5 years of experience in a senior sales or commercial role within the electricity retailer industry.Excellent understanding of the Australian energy market with a strong network across all states.At least 5 years of senior sales experience selling SaaS solutions.Very strong interpersonal skills and a confident, articulate pitching ability.Strong listening skills with the ability to understand customers' needs before trying to sell.A genuine interest in clean tech/renewables.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to problem-solve with limited resources.High energy to generate leads and close deals.Ability to work at pace, and sometimes under pressure.Enjoy the thrill of finding new opportunities for sales and celebrating wins.If the above sounds like you, we welcome your application.
