Senior Business Analyst (Technical)Clerk Grade 9/10Full-Time temporary opportunity up to 12 monthsHybrid working - Work anywhere in NSW - Parramatta is where the team sitsWe are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Business Analyst with a technical background and strong interest in developing into a project manager role.The Senior Business Analyst will join the Portfolio Operations Team (Revenue PMO) within Revenue Digital and be assigned to work on primarily internal IT projects. You will gather requirements, research and analyse problems within the IT space and in concert with the project manager, senior managers and others or independently to devise recommendations, plans, designs or solutions to those problems, evaluating the impacts and aiding in the delivery of the solutions, including change management as and where required.This role will have extensive exposure to senior management within Revenue NSW, other government departments or vendor/suppliers, so outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate and influence at all levels will be key to success. Developing good stakeholder relationships to support effective decision making and ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project life cycle and project deliverables are met will be vital.You'll be provided with training and support to build on and develop your existing project management skills and have the opportunity to be involved in a range of projects across Revenue NSW Digital.Key Responsibilities:Performing analyses not limited to infrastructure, cloud, security, vulnerabilities, efficiencies plus various other types of problems/projects.Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members and suppliers.Ensuring customer satisfaction and successful outcomes through tailored recommendations and efficient solutions.Oversees, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work.Gather, analyse and translate business data to meaningful insights to support informed decision making to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs.Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to obtain their consensus for change initiatives and to facilitate scoping and setting business priorities.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:Demonstrated experience in supporting business analysis (digital) and working on multiple projects in agile and scrum project environments.Strong research, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.An ability to think innovatively and support the development of solutions fit for purpose.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to a range of stakeholders.An understanding of relational database principles and being able to map data back to business processes.Previous experience in project and platform support within a digital/ICT environment.Intermediate knowledge of Miro, Database, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as experience in JIRA and Confluence.Moderate knowledge of cloud environments and infrastructure.Ability to exercise independent judgment.Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors.What we need from you:An up-to-date CV and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role.For enquiries regarding this position, please contact Kevin Wingrave via ****** Revenue NSW:Revenue NSW is the state's principal revenue management agency.
