Senior Business Analyst - Student Information SystemsIn this 12 month fixed term hire role as a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead the evaluation, planning, and enhancement of the school's student information system's transformation, by identifying gaps in current processes, refining integrations across departments, and ensuring the successful implementation of new improvements that optimise operational workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual workloads for staff.
In this role, you will ensure the seamless implementation of improvements that support the school's operational needs, while streamlining workflows and enhancing overall performance across all departments.
The role will see you perform: System Gap Analysis: Conduct a thorough evaluation of the current state, identifying gaps, integration, and operational efficiency.Process Mapping: Collaborate with academic, administrative, and support staff to document current processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvement.Integration Refinement: Work closely with stakeholders across all departments to refine and improve system integration, eliminating data silos and ensuring seamless communication.You will bring to the role: An indepth understanding of Student Management Systems (SIS).ERP and Enterprise Systems: Knowledge of how student management systems interact with enterprise systems like HR, Finance, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).Process Mapping Skills: Ability to map and document current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.Gap Analysis Expertise: Expertise in conducting thorough evaluations of existing systems to identify gaps in functionality, integration, and support for key business processes.Integration Knowledge: Proficiency in integrating large-scale systems like Finance, HR, Learning & Teaching, and ICT.
Experience working with APIs and middleware to ensure seamless data flow across different platforms.Data Migration Expertise: Technical knowledge to manage the migration of large volumes of data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the process.Data Analytics Tools: Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyse system performance and generate reports for stakeholders.Data Cleansing and Validation: Skills in preparing and cleansing data for migrations, ensuring the data transferred into any new system is accurate and reliable.Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst using either Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
