Brisbane (preference), OR Melbourne OR Sydney Join a large Business Analyst community where ideas and best practice are shared Work on a number of innovative projects, leveraging your skills and expertise Hybrid working model, supportive and collaborative culture Overview of the role: This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change.As a result, we have many innovative projects currently underway and future initiatives that will determine the direction of our insurance business.We are looking for a number of experienced/Senior Business Analysts to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group.The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.Also, as part of Suncorp's Analysis Chapter and community, you will have the opportunity to continue to learn, grow and master the craft of business analysis whilst working alongside like-minded people.You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.Although experience within Financial Services is ideal, we are open to high performing candidates from all industries, to leverage your transferable skills and expertise across projects within the Analysis Chapter.What you'll do: Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable Create detailed user stories to support delivery Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Project Manager, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to business analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership What you'll bring: Minimum 5 years' business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role; from a large organisation Minimum 3 years' Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation Working in the regulatory space is desired Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in responding to changing priorities.Experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
