Senior Bookkeeper

Your new company Our client, an independently owned company, are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic, professional practice located in Townsville.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the overall financial management of the practice.
Your new role As the Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the following duties: Manage the bookkeeping function of clients' businesses.
Payroll, bank reconciliations, end of year processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable and BAS.
Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare financial statements and reconcile accounts.
Provide financial advice to clients.
Trust Accounting.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a professional services firm is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Advanced knowledge of Accounting Standards, Income Tax, GST and relevant Acts and legislation.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What you'll get in return In return, you will receive a Permanent Contract offering Monday-Friday full-time hours.
Depending on experience, the salary on offer is $65 - $90k + Superannuation.
