An excellent opportunity exists in the Rex Engineering Team, for an experienced, highly motivated and suitably qualified individual in the position of Senior Base Engineer for Perth. This position is full time and reports to the General Manager Engineering, or delegate.
Position Responsibilities: Ensuring compliance with Engineering Procedures and Certification requirements in their particular area of responsibility and;Maintaining at their Maintenance Base the Engineering Infrastructure necessary to ensure that all KPI's are met (eg OTP etc.)Monitoring and controlling costs associated with aircraft and GSE maintenance.Description of Duties: Provide proactive leadership of the Perth Engineering based staff and participate in broader engineering leadership directives.Ensure schedule based rostering to meet contract requirements;Review in advance the Planned Maintenance Activities to be performed;Co-ordination of manpower, equipment, tooling, data and Aeronautical Products to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance activities;Monitor and control of OTP, efficiency, costs and other KPI's at the Perth Engineering base;Amendment of all Regulatory and Maintenance Data held at their Base;Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and the management of a Preventative Maintenance/Service Program for Ground Support Equipment;Monitor training & performance requirements for engineering staffMonitor, report on & participate in WHS issues & directivesOther duties as directed by GME or delegate.Proven self-starter with a flexible attitudeProven ability to manage a close knit team, but also have an ability to work unsupervisedA demonstrated ability to show initiativeAbility to meet strict deadlinesExperience in Airline OperationsDemonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high workload environmentWorking knowledge of regulatory requirementsHold a CASA B1 or B2 licence & be eligible for Saab 340 type training.Conditions: Wage rates and conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant.
