We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Life & Health subsidiary in Sydney which plays a major part in the success of Hannover Re globally.
We are seeking a Senior BA - Retail Business. The role will be a fixed term position for 18 months.
About the role The Senior Business Analyst – Retail Business is responsible for leading the analysis, documentation and integration of business processes, ensuring smooth system implementation and stakeholder coordination.
Key tasks include identifying process gaps, developing process maps, resolving operational issues, and supporting training initiatives. The role also involves managing project risks, ensuring compliance with company policies, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
The project is a multi-stream project covering several business stakeholders, data and technology changes.
Duties and Responsibilities: Process Mapping and Documentation:
• Documenting and conducting a thorough analysis of the existing current-state processes and identifying any gaps or areas required for project consideration
• Performing gap analysis to determine impact of the project scope to procedures across various stakeholders
• Developing detailed process maps and documentation at relevant stages of the project
• Coordinating stakeholders, meetings, workshops and documentation and follow-up of actions System Integration / Release:
• Working with business stakeholders to assess any functionality gaps, data requirements and system requirements for any system impacts and implementation
• Identifying and resolving any issues that arise working closely with cross-functional teams to address any operational challenges
• Post-Go-Live monitoring the performance of the new processes ensuring they are operating as expected. Addressing any issues or inefficiencies that arise Training & Change Management:
• Supporting the development and delivery of training programs for employees on the new processes and systems Project Risk Management:
• Identifying potential risks associated with the project scope and develop mitigation plans
• Maintaining the risks and issues register, liaising with stakeholders to document risks and update mitigants as required You come equipped with Experience & Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in the Life Insurance industry
• Extensive BA experience gained over a number of years working on business projects
• Experience in multi-stream projects or exposure to legal stakeholders is preferred
• Strong people and relationship management skills to effectively liaise with and influence stakeholders
• Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strategic thinking capabilities
• Ability to liaise at Board and senior level
