Our work encompasses every part of our State; from our cities to our regions, connecting and strengthening communities.We value diversity and inclusion, fostering a collaborative, flexible, and supportive environment for our people.The OpportunityAn opportunity exists for an experienced and conscientious Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit Unit, within the People and Corporate Services Division of the Department.You will be provided with autonomy and genuine flexibility within a small team, which is focused on providing innovative solutions and customer-centred, value-adding audit and advisory services across the Department.Core Responsibilities:Supporting the development and execution of the risk-based Internal Audit Plan;Planning, coordination and delivery of assigned internal audit, assurance and advisory reviews;Facilitate and support internal stakeholders across the Department through the provision of expert, independent and comprehensive advice;Collaborate with other business units and divisions to support respective business objectives;Liaise with external stakeholders and contractors as required;Manage and support the delivery of other functions and services within the Audit Unit, as required.About YouWe are looking for an experienced internal Senior Auditor with:Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a customer-focused approach.Excellent report writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a highly organised approach.If you are looking for a new opportunity contributing to the variety of work and achievements of a small, supportive, and collaborative team within a dynamic environment then this could be the role for you.Special Conditions:A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.Postgraduate qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CIA, or a similar audit qualification), or working towards will be highly regarded.Application Instructions:Applications can be submitted online by clicking the 'Apply' button.
