As the Senior Client Payments and Reconciliation Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless reconciliation of allocated bank accounts, managing client and vendor reports, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance in all financial interactions. You will support team members and ensure a compliant, accurate and continually improving service delivery with best practice.
You will be accountable for processing salary package payments, addressing client and vendor queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members to ensure full compliance with all client reconciliation and financial operational policies and procedures. Reconcile allocated bank accounts within specified frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly). Investigate, escalate, and resolve any reconciling items to eliminate discrepancies between systems and bank records. Generate and distribute client and vendor reports as required. Maintain accuracy, compliance, and client focus in all internal and external interactions, striving for first-contact resolution in all functions. Process salary package payments, including the generation and processing of bank EFT and BPAY payment files. Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Smartgroup client reconciliation and financial operations processes and maintain up to date procedure documentation to ensure consistent application of process across team. To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
Strong communication and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure. Effective prioritization to meet critical deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Experience in account reconciliations and working with large datasets. Experience providing technical guidance to other team members. Experience in a 2nd level escalation of complex queries and complaints. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
