Purpose of Role As the Senior Associate, Sustainability, your primary purpose will be to contribute to the success of the Sustainability team within the Funding & Markets Division (FMD). This will be achieved by supporting delivery of key sustainability initiatives such as our green bond program and integrating sustainability across the business. You will play a crucial role in identifying and communicating sustainable investment trends and their potential impact on QTC and its clients. Your role will work closely with multiple stakeholders across QTC and clients and contribute to the overall success of the company. Responsibilities & Accountabilities QTC Green bond program: Identification of and liaising with clients on suitable assets for inclusion in QTC's Green Bond program including the collection and analysis of financial and impact reporting data. Sustainability integration: Work with other QTC teams to identify and execute on the implementation of sustainability related workstreams. Sustainability data: Ensure the provision of timely, useful, accurate and applicable sustainability information and data to stakeholders, particularly investors. Stakeholder alignment: Engage with external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with the organisation's own sustainability goals. Sustainability reporting: Contribute to the preparation and presentation of sustainability reports, including the Queensland Sustainability Report, that are shared with investors and/or clients. Capital markets insights and peer benchmarking: Identify emerging sustainability trends and benchmark performance against relevant peers. Travel within Australia may be required to fulfil the requirements of this role. Other duties as deemed relevant to business requirements and within the technical competency of the position. Competencies Technical Competencies Sustainability Literacy: Demonstrates an understanding of sustainability concepts and principles, including knowledge of relevant sustainable finance instruments, investment and reporting frameworks Understanding and knowledge of the regulatory and corporate governance environments in relation to sustainability. Financial data and/or quantitative skills to undertake relevant analysis Climate change: Able to identify and communicate the physical and transition risks associated with climate change. Commercial Awareness: Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities. Communication Skills: Engaging communication, information delivery, and decision-influencing skills. Ability to synthesise information to improve communication and prioritise. Behavioural Competencies Sees 'beyond the process' and identifies potential flow-on implications early and acts to address them. Strong relationship management skills both with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate a message and positively influence others to gain desired outcomes. Qualifications Essential Degree or equivalent experience in sustainable finance, environmental science, sustainability or related field Desirable Recent certification in a sustainability field Experience Essential Minimum 5+ years of experience working in sustainability or a related field Desirable Experience with green bond/climate change/sustainability disclosure frameworks Experience within financial services, resources, transport or renewable energy #J-18808-Ljbffr
