An opportunity now exists for a Lawyer, 5-8 years post-admission, to join their Planning Environment & Local Government practice to provide high-quality legal advice on environment and planning law, from infrastructure projects to major transactions and environmental and planning litigation.
The key responsibilities of this role will involve conducting planning appeals and:
infrastructure agreements heritage and native title issues development applications and approvals and planning instruments local government law and providing strategic advice due diligence and compliance issues of proposed development contaminated land and remediation (including liability issues) environmental audits, due diligence, and impact assessments pollution and emission licenses regulatory compliance and enforcement waste management and landfill
This role will suit a senior lawyer with strong technical and commercial experience from a leading top or mid-tier law firm:
strong intellectual skills and academic qualifications. confident and self-motivated. able to work effectively as part of a team and supervise more junior lawyers. highly effective communicator (both orally and in writing)
