Senior Associate, Leasing and Commercial PropertyWe are seeking a Senior Associate with experience across complex leasing and capital transactions with the ability to manage matters with autonomy.
About the teamOur property practice is amongst the leading property practices in Australia. Our Sydney team works with clients on a range of matters including complex leasing, capital transactions and land acquisitions and sales for development.
About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our busy and high performing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior lawyer seeking to undertake broad and complex property work within a role offering autonomy to run matters in a supportive team. You will have the opportunity to work on matters for some of Australia's leading real estate investment trusts, across its retail and office portfolios.
About youGiven the range of work and the current team structure, we require a lawyer who has at least 5 years' post admission experience and who has a proven track record of running matters with minimal supervision. More specifically your experience will include:
Drafting and negotiating agreements for lease and subleasesDrafting and negotiating commercial office leases, including drafting complex and bespoke arrangementsCapital transactions, including drafting and negotiating contracts for sale (commercial properties and development sites)Conducting property due diligence and preparing due diligence reportsAdvising on easementsExperience in renewable energy transactions would be beneficial but is not essential.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following:Currently a Senior Associate in a busy property practiceExperienced in running files from instruction through to completionStrong drafting skills and excellent attention to detailSolid negotiation skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to mentor more junior lawyers/paralegals in the teamAbility to work independently and proactively, and as well as supporting others in the teamWho we areHolding Redlich is a large national commercial law firm with offices across Australia.
