D'Arcy Weil is pleased to represent this prestigious firm in seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate specialising in Equity Capital Markets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence in the legal industry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advising clients on a wide range of equity capital market transactions, leveraging their expertise to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Advising clients on initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary offerings, and other equity-related transactions. Structuring and negotiating complex equity capital market deals. Providing strategic advice on regulatory compliance and corporate governance issues. Conducting due diligence and preparing offering documents and prospectuses. Liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Australian Stock Exchange. Managing client relationships and ensuring the highest standards of client service. Leading transaction teams and coordinating with other practice areas within the firm. Developing and mentoring junior lawyers within the team. Keeping abreast of market developments and advising clients on potential impacts. Assisting in the development of business strategies and identifying new business opportunities. Preparing and delivering client presentations and pitches. Drafting and reviewing complex legal documents and contracts. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Participating in industry events and representing the firm in professional networks. Contributing to thought leadership initiatives and publishing articles on relevant topics.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in equity capital markets within a top-tier or highly regarded law firm. Extensive experience in advising on IPOs, secondary offerings, and other equity-related transactions. Strong knowledge of Australian corporate law and securities regulations. Proven track record in managing complex transactions and delivering successful outcomes. Exceptional analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills. Excellent client management and relationship-building abilities. Strong leadership qualities and experience in mentoring junior lawyers. High level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking. Superior communication and presentation skills.
