The Role Utilise and grow your expertise by joining Queensland's leading specialist ESD team, acting for both public and private sector clients on advisory and litigation matters in this dynamic area of practice.
Working with our team led by our Partners Karen Trainor and Wendy Evans, this pivotal role will see you working on a diverse and exciting range of regulatory and environment and planning issues, including: Major infrastructure projects (rail, road, and electricity) Energy transition and resources projects Planning & Environment Court and Land Court disputes The ESD team and the Brisbane CU office also provide a unique environment to engage in dynamic, high-performance client-facing work whilst enjoying the benefits of a collaborative team culture, where we support each other and celebrate our successes.
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: At least 5+ PQE with strong private practice experience and/or experience working in-house Experience in environmental and planning law, and associated regulatory matters A high standard of academic achievement We are looking for someone who has: An ability to apply natural creativity and intelligence to problem solving A high level of attention to detail and an ability to draft clear, commercially orientated, and incisive advice Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills for building client relationships A collegiate mindset and positive attitude, which prioritises respect for peers and collaborative teamwork A focus on providing an outstanding service to clients An appetite for mentoring and coaching junior team members The Team Our Environment and Sustainable Development Practice Group is recognised as a leader in Environmental and Planning Law.
