You will be part of a growing team with excellent career progression prospects and enjoy a supportive environment in a firm renowned for its inclusive culture.ResponsibilitiesLiaising with clientsReviewing medical and other expert materialLiaising with witnesses and preparing statementsResearching and providing legal analysisPreparing and reviewing discovered documents and evidenceDrafting court documents, settlement deeds and Medical Panel referralsEngaging and liaising with independent experts, counsel, opposing lawyers and mediatorsPreparing advice including on liability, prospects, quantum, reserves and strategyAppearing at court, conferences and mediationsPreparing briefs and instructing counsel during court hearings, mediations and conferencesWorking in partnership with senior practitioners and other team membersDelegating work and providing instructions to lawyers, paralegals and administrative supportMentoring and coaching lawyers to assist with their developmentAssisting graduates and seasonal clerks throughout their rotationsRetaining and building businessAbout YouStrong litigation experience preferably in personal injury insuranceA current practising certificate for NSW5 years' plus PAETraining and experience gained in a mid or top tier law firmSelf-driven with excellent verbal and written communication, and time management skillsAbility to manage competing priorities effectivelyAbility to develop and maintain effective working relationships, particularly the ability to earn the confidence and trust of key stakeholdersProfessional, client focused and supportive of colleaguesDrive for excellence with a desire to achieve quality outcomes in commercial litigation claims.CulturePeople choose Landers for our down-to-earth, collaborative and supportive culture.
