Position Description: Your new role with Bendigo Bank is just a few clicks away.About the role As our Senior Assessment Officer you will report to the Team Manager and will bring your keen eye for details toaccurately assess a customer's loan application within its Delegated Lending Authority (DLA).
Whilst balancing customer satisfaction with responsible lending, you will ensure that decision making, and lending assessment is executed within the Bank's risk framework and meets regulatory obligations.You will be responsible for the quality of files to ensure correct and complete information is available, which may involve contacting the customer, lenders or brokers with application actions or issues, or workshopping lending deals.
You will furthermore ensure the application workflow is continued and service levels are achieved, with the goal of delivering an excellent service to our partners and enhancing the overall customer experience.Ideally, you will be holding a higher level of DLA at 5, the Senior Assessment Officer works with mostly more complex assessment and can support Assessment Officers and act as an escalation point.
The role will also complete more complex loan scenario evaluations with lenders or brokers.About you As our new Senior Assessment Officer, you will bring the following skills: Previous customer service and/or administration experience.Proven experience in complex lending practices and/or assessment.DLA, Lending, Securities experienceSound credit decision making skills and ability to make judgements based on experienceKnowledge of relevant legislationA quality focus and highly accurate approach with constant attention to detail.Highly developed time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlinesHigh level of verbal and good written communication skills, including ability to have difficult conversationsAbility to build positive relationships with staff, customers and partners.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A thorough understanding of Bank policies and procedures in relation to the release of information to external parties.
