Provide high-level support and advice to the Transport Commissioner and various delegates within the Transport and Infrastructure Group with a particular focus on legislative approvals and delegations administration. Proactively manage online application forms relating to approvals activities with a continuous improvement focus.

Period of Appointment Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 18 months.
Duties Manage the Permits and Transport Commission mailboxes by:
Monitoring the flow of correspondence and ensuring the efficient management of applications by other parties for permits and approvals under various legislation.
Providing a high level of customer service, including liaising within government and industry, particularly regarding the proper submission of applications and associated documents.
Ensuring responses comply with relevant legislative and departmental timeframes.
Provide high level support to the Transport Commission by:
Administering workflows for Transport Commission processes.
Undertaking quality assurance of documentation submitted to the Transport Commissioner.
Undertaking administrative activities regarding statutory delegations under relevant, up-to-date legislation.
Undertake primary responsibilities for the approvals based online application forms by:
Coordinating updates to, and testing of, online application forms relating to approval activities and liaising with relevant parties to resolve technical issues as necessary.
Working with relevant parties with program development work regarding online forms and communicating online form changes to the team or other impacted parties.
Provide high level support to the manager Policy, Legislation and Approvals by:
Preparing correspondence and draft permits, developing options and recommendations for improvement in the delivery of legislative approvals administration.
Supporting staff and overseeing tasks to ensure they are completed appropriately and on time.
Ensuring Divisional/Departmental processes are followed.
