Join Us in Transforming an Iconic Women's Australian Brand! We are embarking on an exciting transformation and seeking a Senior Designer to help relaunch a renowned Australian brand. This is an exceptional opportunity to elevate the brand and make a significant impact in the industry.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our team to lead the creative direction and shape the overall brand image, ensuring that our creative output reflects our vision and aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present and articulate the creative vision and product range.
- Research and forecast trends and colour concepts.
- Lead the Technical Design team in developing best-in-class design standards that enhance the brand's identity.
- Guide the Design team in creating product ranges aligned with brand strategy, pricing, and market insights.
- Develop seasonal and monthly strategic design briefs, including colour, print, and material direction, to meet brand objectives.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely, high-quality manufacturing and resolve any issues that arise.
- Brief offshore agents and vendors to meet product specifications, providing detailed spec sheets and collaborating on material selection.
- Continuously seek innovative ways to enhance quality and explore premium product opportunities.
- Ensure our supplier base meets all requirements and work with the sourcing team to identify new suppliers, focusing on flexibility, speed to market, and sustainability.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to align product launches with brand strategies.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in fashion or a related field.
- 5+ years of women's fashion design experience, including team management.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and consumer behavior for strategic design direction.
- Proven ability to identify key trends and develop seasonal product visions.
- Effective budget management skills for design projects.
- Expertise in garment construction, fabrics, trims, and colors.
- Experience in managing design timelines and deliverables according to critical paths.
- Strong collaboration skills to translate creative visions into technical designs alongside product teams.
