ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional fit and quality for our apparel.
You will inspire and develop your team, set performance expectations, and foster a values-driven culture.
Your key responsibilities include managing technical design to ensure consistent fit and sizing, creating pattern-making blocks, and offering technical advice.
You will oversee garment construction options and pattern lay plans to optimise margins, support suppliers and product teams in using our electronic patternmaking system, and maintain Group quality and compliance standards.
Additionally, you'll manage sampling procedures and ensure on-time product delivery.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Design, Textiles, or Pattern MakingMastery in pattern making, garment fit, and garment construction.Extensive experience with fabric and fiber expertise, and working with overseas suppliers.Proven ability to drive results, solve problems, and demonstrate commercial acumen.Strong background in quality and compliance, including expertise in coaching and training.Proficiency in Adobe / CAD and Lectra.Solid judgment and curiosity, with a drive for continuous improvement.Proven ability to develop strategies that enhance the performance of fit suppliers.Demonstrated experience in managing a team of technical designers.Exceptional communication skills with various stakeholders.Strong analytical thinking capabilities.Highly focused on process optimisation and goal achievement.OUR CULTURE To describe COTTON:ON in six words is easy; optimistic, passionate, real, energetic, collaborative and, most importantly, ethical.
