About the Opportunity:
The Advanced Analytics team is a part of the Data Analytics Customer Centre of Excellence within the Customer Product & Marketing team and is responsible for building, maintaining and uplifting analytics assets that are crucial to delivering insights and unlocking opportunities at both a strategic and operational level.
Reporting into the Customer Data Science Leader, the Senior Analytics Specialist will play a crucial role in accurate and timely reporting and insights for regulatory submission.
Review asset and model performance and ensure they are in line with expected performance metrics. Leverage your technical skills to perform sophisticated distributional and statistical insights and analytics work to support business initiatives. Research & unlock new sources of data to improve or increase the sophistication of our models and data assets. Collaborate with a broad range of business stakeholder groups to support regulatory business activities using our unique portfolio of assets, along with identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes. About You:
A recognised university degree in a statistical or technical domain (Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science etc.) or equivalent experience. Proficiency in Python, R, Spark, Visualisation Tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI). Experience in the energy industry preferred, or relevant regulatory environment with the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders to deliver accurate work on time. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguous problems in a structured manner. Strong communication and presentation skills. A collaborative thought leader with the ability to deliver technical information and consultancy to non-technical audiences. Ability to work across all parts of the analytics pipeline from engineering to model operationalisation. Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
