Senior Analyst - Risk and ComplianceReserve Bank of Australia, Sydney, AustraliaThis position will be a 2-year contract.Experience and ResponsibilitiesExperience in design and implementation of internal controls in processes and systems and testing and assessment of controls to provide assurance that operational, technology, project, strategic and people risks are well managed.Knowledge of assurance methodologies, risk management and controls frameworks (including the three lines of accountability) and broad experience of implementing these at a financial institution.Experience in the maintenance of risk registers, review of incident reporting registers and managing compliance activities.Support the improvement of risk management in the department by providing advice, expertise and support.Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, information technology, risk, compliance or related discipline, or equivalent experience.Your teamYou will be a key member of the Risk and Compliance team in Payments Settlements Department. This team consists of risk analysts reporting to the Manager, Risk and Compliance. The team supports Payments Settlements Department to ensure that the risks associated with operating a critical financial market infrastructure, and the Bank's own settlements, are well understood and managed.The Payments Settlements Department is responsible for the ongoing development and operation of the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS), Australia's real-time gross settlement system. RITS settles over $250 billion of transactions per day, including high-value payments, wholesale financial market transactions, New Payments Platform transactions, and obligations arising from retail and other payment systems.
