The Group Treasury Product Control team is focused on building and maintaining a strong control environment and delivering business insight and reporting to the Treasury Chief Investment Office.Responsibilities: Production of daily P&L's and control activities, balance sheet review, commentary, and month-end GL substantiation and financial reporting Work directly with front line traders and management located in Sydney and other global offices Work closely with other support functions in the department such as Valuations & Market Data, Financial Control, Financial Performance, as well as outside department such as IT Support and International Operations. Deliver on key risk indicators and enhance the current control framework Provide analysis and business commentary to front office and finance stakeholders Involvement with Regulatory and Disclosure reporting requirements Gain a thorough understanding of the product systems and reporting tools such as Oracle GL, Murex, Calypso and Qlikview Identify and implement process changes to improve team quality and productivity Assist with ad-hoc change projects where required (eg new product setup, new accounting standards and/or policies) What's in it for me?You'll play a significant part of the future of a business that has been around for 200 years. Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting equivalent degree Understanding of Financial instruments Accounting and Valuation Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Microsoft Access exposure highly desirable Critical thinker - Able to apply knowledge of systems and workflows to problem solve and implement process improvements Communication skills - Confident in expressing opinions, explaining ideas and concepts Time management - Able to remain organised in a fast-paced environment managing multiple day to day responsibilities Teamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders What's it like to work there?
