The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of ESG & Investor Relations, the Senior Analyst undertakes a key role for the recently formed ESG and Investor Relations business unit within the Funding and Markets division.
It provides the opportunity to contribute across the three key areas of the business unit's responsibility in the capacity outlined below, that impact the Corporation's short and long term access to domestic and international debt capital markets.
Sustainable Finance Work closely with Western Australian Government agencies in the identification, sharing and consolidation of information to support investor engagement on ESG related issues;   ?Remain familiar with global ESG trends to ensure compliance with existing and emerging regulations related to sustainability; and  ?Support the preparation and presentation of reports on outputs from the Sustainable Finance Program that are shared with investors.
Financial Markets Investor Relations Monitor, analyse and evaluate capital markets and related investor trends, using data and research to drive growth and expansion of the investor base;  ?Develop a strong understanding of, and relationship strategies for different investor market segments, domestically and offshore; and  ?Coordinate input from relevant stakeholders to support analysis and evaluation of research projects.
Economics ?Conduct capital markets and economic research, maintaining a database of key economic and market variables for all major economies;  ?Co-author WATC's economic circulars for distribution internally and to clients and publication on the website;   ?Provide advice on interest rates and economic variables to internal committees and clients; and   ?Maintain and update investor focused presentation documents summarising aspects of the Western Australian economy.
About You Ideal applicants will have experience working in a financial institution or government financial service with exposure to one or more of the following subject matters: ?Dealing financial products (e.g.
bonds, investments, foreign exchange etc.
);  ?Economic monitoring / forecasting and preparation of relevant reports / presentation;  ?Client servicing in financial products; ?Sustainable finance (e.g green bonds, carbon markets, ESG integration in investments); and / or  ?Financial market or economic research.
In addition you will be able to demonstrate: Well-developed knowledge of financial instruments or macro economics;  Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft word processing and spreadsheet packages, Reuters and Bloomberg market systems and Quantum treasury management system; Strong analytical and quantitative skills; and Integrity, including upholding strong professional and ethical standards and discretion in maintaining confidentiality.
