Your New Role

In this role you will report to the Senior Manager, Governance & Accountability within the Group Governance department in the Fund's Group Risk domain. This team coordinates and/or oversees AustralianSuper's Executive Governance, Delegation of Authority, Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) management office and whistleblowing management activity, educating and engaging with stakeholders across the Fund.

You will play a key role in supporting the Senior Manager to deliver the Trustee's implementation of FAR together with associated governance activity. The role will work closely with colleagues across the fund to ensure the smooth running of its executive governance and delegation processes and associated activities.

Key duties include but are not limited to:
Support the Senior Manager to design and deliver the Trustee's implementation of FAR, including the analysis of regulatory guidance, drafting of policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and implementation of its FAR management office.
Provision of day-to-day advice to colleagues across the Trustee on FAR queries.
Preparation and drafting of regulatory notifications required under FAR.
Lead the on-going maintenance of the Trustee's executive forum structure, including managing the annual review of its committee charters and recommending any necessary changes.
Provision of day-to-day advice to colleagues across the Trustee on forum governance queries.
Lead the drafting and preparation of regulatory notifications required to AustralianSuper's regulators under their Fitness and Propriety regimes, including liaising with senior stakeholders and their teams to source documents as required.
In co-ordination with the Regulatory Affairs team, submission of notifications to regulators in respect of the above.
Support the Senior Manager to design and deliver appropriate training (face to face and e-learning) on all matters within the team's remit. What You'll Need Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce, Law or Industry related field
Proven risk advisory and/or governance experience (4+ years), preferably gained in a Financial Services organisation or consulting
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for superannuation and wider corporate governance and the ability to turn this into pragmatic advice and guidance.
Good communication skills and ability to engage and influence is essential
Ability to write with effect, particularly in relation to creating reports and preparing amends to policies
Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical and investigative skills
Good planning, consulting and negotiation skills
Ability to respectfully challenge, deal with conflict and stand their ground, where required
