Support the delivery and implementation of the Financial Markets Platform (FMP), a new treasury, risk management and trading platform.
Help deliver Calypso - the treasury management component of the FMP for the Financial Markets (FM) workstreams supporting the FMP project.
Engage actively across a range of internal stakeholders, drawing on significant analytical and modelling skills for development and implementation testing to ensure the success of the project.
You'll possess a broad set of skills including experience with the preferred financial markets platform (Nasdaq Calypso), extensive financial markets product knowledge, experience in the development and support of business-managed IT solutions, spreadsheet risk analysis, and sound knowledge of regulations and market-changing practices.
Key Responsibilities: Drive delivery and implementation of all front office business requirements for a new Financial Markets Platform (FMP).Validate instruments, models and methodologies of the FMP including risk metrics and value at risk.Collaborate to ensure the successful migration of the target operating model.Ensure continuous integration of BAU changes into the end-to-end business architecture.Participate in developing, testing, and maintaining new and existing systems.Contribute to the systems specification, development and migration of trading and risk systems.Be a trusted advisor in providing solutions for issues and business requirements.Support operational risk requirements of the team.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and/or reduce operational risk.Present to internal stakeholders as required. Key Capabilities Required for the Position: Strong understanding of Calypso financial markets platform.Strong understanding of interest rate, FX and commodity markets including physical and derivative instruments.Experience with testing and validating the Nasdaq Calypso system with a focus on risk metrics and value at risk.
The ability to evidence the testing is critical.Advanced level in Python programming and SQL.Ability to extract, analyse and present data for Front Office Reports.In-depth understanding of the process required to successfully implement an FMP system.Demonstrated problem-solving and organisational skills. Experience and Qualifications: Experience working with the Nasdaq Calypso Treasury, risk management and trading platform or similar system.A thorough understanding of the operation of the financial markets, particularly fixed income securities and interest rate derivatives.Demonstrated experience in development and support of business-managed IT solutions.
