Senior Adviser, People and Culture Full time, Ongoing, x2 positions The Office of Public Prosecutions has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Generalist to join our growing team as a Senior Adviser, People and Culture (P&C).
The People and Culture team sits within Corporate Services, which collectively and collaboratively provides expertise in people management, technology, records management and a range of other support services for the Legal Practice division.
The Senior Advisor works proactively with management and employees in designated business units to ensure that the P&C needs of the business are met.
It is expected that Senior Advisors hold current and detailed knowledge of legislation, systems and ways of working.
They are responsible for developing integrated solutions to People and Culture issues in a timely manner and working collaboratively across the P&C team to deliver innovative projects and people management initiatives.
About the Role: Provide advice, support, and guidance to managers on matters and collaborate with colleagues to ensure an integrated approach to service delivery.
Build, drive and maintain effective relationships with OPP managers and employees while actively promoting a positive consultative partnership to support effective implementation of strategies, policies and procedures.
Provide strategic advice and ongoing support on employee relations issues, dispute resolution and workplace injury and illness cases, ensuring advice is consistent while working collaboratively with the Manager, People Services & Advisory on complex cases.
As our ideal candidate you will have: A clear understanding and sound working knowledge of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement and relevant state and federal employment/ IR, diversity, equal opportunity and OH&S legislation.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of strategic advice and support on HR, ER and health, safety and wellbeing matters.
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to reason through problems, using objective analysis to provide business focused solutions.
