We are seeking a  Senior Advisor – Mining Productivity  to join this exciting phase for Rio Tinto Iron Ore. We foster a people centric culture, bringing people at the heart of what we do.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a strategic impact on the Pilbara Mines.
Responsible for the oversight and delivery of projects throughout the Pilbara Mining Operations (PMO) that increase the productivity of our Mining Equipment Assets and systems.
You will join a team of Subject Matter Experts in Mining Operations to identify the highest value opportunities for improvement, and then design, execute, and track projects to capitalize on those opportunities across the entire PMO.
You will be a key contributor on our journey to become the Best Operator.
Reporting to the  Manager, Mining Productivity  you will: Deliver Mining productivity projects with demonstrated positive impact to KPI's across multiple sites as identified by data analysis and direct observation Demonstrate the ability to connect with a wide range of both functional and operational teams including Mine Ops, Control, MTS, MP&E, Major Hazards, Surface Mining Center of Excellence, and others Identify, design, and replicate known and emerging best practices to all Iron Ore Mines and Operations Centre Demonstrate safety through your own actions and in the projects you roll out to site teams Represent operational teams and manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team Expert level understanding of mining productivity KPI's, practices, and procedures and the ability to identify gaps within them A demonstrated ability to influence both technical and operational personnel.
Preferred more than 5 years of operational leadership positions A track record of project management and delivery with site based teams The ability to think critically, collaborate and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to solve complex problems.
Excellent communication skills – ability to distil complex information into readily understood key messages and to present this to a wide range of audiences.
A passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.

The role also offer opportunities to work in our Operations Centre, near the Perth airport.
The role will also require ad hoc travel to our Pilbara Mine sites.
