About the role
Hybrid and remote working arrangements available Fixed term – 12 months - Parental Leave Opportunity $98,825 - $103,784 + 11.5% super + 17.5% annual leave loading The Senior Advisor Communications and Engagement plays a key role in planning and delivering external communications and engagement activities that support organisational objectives and communicate Our Watch's leadership to stakeholders and the public.
Reporting to the Manager Communications and Engagement, the role provides expert strategic external communications advice to evolve Our Watch communications on a wide variety of projects to support cross-organisational teams and deliver impact driven communications.
About you
Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or a related field, and extensive experience in coordinating corporate communications activities across an organisation.
Excellent written communication skills, including demonstrated experience writing compelling, engaging, and effective external communications copy for a range of audiences and channels, in alignment with organisational key messages.
Well-developed relationship management skills, with the demonstrated ability to work, collaborate and consult with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong speech writing experience working closely with senior executives.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including highly developed influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong project management skills, including identifying and prioritising tasks, forward planning, and developing schedules, and anticipating and adjusting for potential barriers and problems.
Understanding of intersectionality, and awareness of how systemic inequality impacts on your work or demonstrated capacity for self-initiated development of this.
