As the Senior Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing complex state-wide technical claims and redress advocacy and advisory services to Queensland Health. Apply now!The roleReporting to the Manager, Claims and Redress, you will be responsible for managing allocated claims matters, including natural disaster claims submissions in line with relevant federal and state government funding arrangements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and preparing responses on behalf of Queensland Health for applications submitted under the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse, whilst meticulously adhering to legislative requirements, relevant processes, and prescribed timeframes.The role also incorporates drafting, reviewing and providing high-quality professional claims, policy coverage and/or redress advice to support our clients.The successful personTo succeed in this role, you will have a demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, analyse, interpret, and evaluate claims and redress information for the guidance of clients. Additionally, your skill set should include well-developed liaison and communication capabilities, enabling you to negotiate effectively with clients and other stakeholders and present information and advice in a way that is easily understood and applied by the client.You will rely on your proven ability to meet challenging deadlines and timeframes while effectively delivering high-quality advice and managing small to large, complex projects.Please be advised that the material you may be exposed to when fulfilling this role may be of a distressing nature.
