Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Job Summary: As Senior Administration Assistant, you will perform administrative duties that require proficiency, accuracy, judgement, initiative, discretion, and knowledge of protocol. You will handle both routine and complicated items, such as coordinating travel, preparing expense reports, and composing correspondence. Your ability to anticipate problems and changing priorities will help bring efficiency and organization to your team.

Major Responsibilities: Assists manager with a moderate scope of decision-making activities.Handles complex administrative items independently.Provides support of a highly responsible and highly confidential nature.Independently anticipates problems and changing priorities; alerts manager and may take action to adapt manager's schedule/commitments accordingly.Completes business independently, or refers to other staff, forwards the most important to the senior manager, and follows up to ensure action.Duties require accuracy, judgment, a high degree of initiative, discretion, diplomacy, and knowledge of protocol.Coordinates complex travel arrangements and travel itineraries; prepares detailed expense reports using Concur or other expense report software as required.Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.Associate degree or related technical training preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of technical vocabularies and terminology common to the assignment.Demonstrated knowledge of administrative functions, including budget and financial functions.Basic skills in training and supervision of personnel.Ability to develop and analyse information for studies and reports.Knowledge of Bechtel's organisational structure, functions and procedures.Advanced knowledge of software applications, creating spreadsheets with mathematical functions, and enhancing presentation reports.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
