About the role Mater Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the team at South Brisbane on a permanent part-time basis, 30 hours per week.
The Senior Administration Officer plays a key role in the delivery of exceptional service to Mater patients, relatives, and staff.
The core function of the role is to support the daily administrative operational requirements of the respiratory and sleep studies department including the Director and wider team.
Exercise judgement and initiative within defined procedures, precedents, guidelines, and instructions.Maintain a safe working environment complying with Workplace Health and Safety and anti-discrimination policies.Support and assist other team members within the business as required.Comply with and adhere to Mater Health Services and the private practice policies, procedures, standards, and legislation relevant to the role and business unit.Diary management.Assist with meetings/huddles.Maintain and support areas specific spreadsheets/databases/calendar.Assist with preparation of correspondence and distribution.HR/Recruitment Assistance.About you High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to provide efficient and effective administration support in a timely and organised manner.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients, and visitors.Accurate data entry skills with a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and departmental databases and other software applications.Qualifications, continuing education programs, and experience may be used to demonstrate skill, knowledge, and/or ability relevant to the position.Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a private practice highly desirable.Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
