The Senior Administration Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing financial, administrative, and human resource tasks to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Townsville Service Centre. This role includes ensuring compliance with audit requirements, overseeing records management, implementing workplace health and safety protocols, optimising resource allocation, and providing timely support to meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
Key responsibilities of this role
• Supervise administrative staff and provide support to identify staff training needs in administrative procedures and systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective administrative systems including financial, human resource, asset management and business processes, including the provision of timely advice and reporting to the Manager, Townsville Service Centre regarding the operation of the Townsville Service Centre budget.
• Maintain effective financial management systems and act as a procurement officer for the Service Centre, including activities such as processing invoices for payment, monitoring cost Centre expenditures, ensuring accountability for monies received and paid and preparing budget estimates, forecasts and reconciliations.
• Manage all Finance and HR electronic systems such SAP ECC5, My.Appointment, Springboard - Request to Hire, HR Reports and Transaction Detail Reports.
• Provide advice to the Manager, Townsville Service Centre on administrative and operational issues.
• Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders as relevant to the role.
• Undertake and manage special projects as directed by the Manager, Townsville Service Centre and/or Regional Director, North Queensland Region.
