About This OpportunityThe Senior Administration and Engagement Officer (Rockhampton) is responsible for coordinating a variety of activities and engagement initiatives within the Rural Clinical School. This role supports the Medical Pathway and Regional Training Hub by organising events and engagement activities for prospective students, current students, and junior doctors. Additionally, the position provides support to relevant committees and working groups.
Key responsibilities will include:
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication, effective reporting, and the creation of promotional materials.
Event Coordination & Management: Plan and execute events and activities for students and junior doctors, including Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs), Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), career expos, and engagement initiatives.
Data Management: Maintain databases and analyse metrics to ensure successful recruitment and support of volunteers for MMIs, OSCEs, volunteer patients, student ambassador programs, alumni, and future students.
Committee & Documentation Support: Coordinate meetings and working groups, prepare documentation, take minutes, and draft reports on engagement activities.

About YouA degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent community engagement skills and experience working with diverse groups and sound understanding of effective stakeholder engagement including relationship building, understanding stakeholder needs, translation of strategic objectives into operational activities.
Administration and scheduling experience required.
Event or project management experience and experience undertaking event planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Experience with Outlook Calendars, Eventbrite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Skills in collecting data and writing reports.
Experience living and working in rural or regional Australia, with relevant experience in the university sector or similar large, complex organisations is highly desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
