Senior Administered Revenue Officer - Level 2, Queensland TreasuryAn AO6 Senior Administered Revenue Officer - Level 2 vacancy is available in the Finance Division of the Queensland Revenue Office. This role will be based in the Brisbane CBD.
In this role you will assist with leading multiple teams responsible for the processing and monitoring of high volumes of financial transactions within QRO's systems.
Your typical day as a Senior Administered Revenue Officer - Level 2 may include:
• Providing coaching, guidance and support to team members undertaking administered revenue financial activities and client accounting.
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders to improve client services and system efficiencies across taxes, royalties, fines and grants.
• Maintaining the integrity of QRO's revenue systems using a range of internal control tools to identify risks and anomalies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Analysing, managing and reporting of all financial transactions and activities including the preparation of Treasury's Administered Revenue Financial Statements.
• Ensuring QRO complies with relevant legislation, policies and procedures, delegations, Australian Accounting Standards relevant to Government departments and provide advice as required.
• Providing advice based on analysis of administered revenue or debt data to clients, stakeholders, management and auditors on revenue collection or debt management matters.
• Managing, analysing, reviewing, implementing and monitoring agreed improvements and audit recommendations to systems, financial controls, practices, processes, and procedures across the division and QRO and with key internal or external stakeholders.
• Supporting the audit and governance framework by reviewing, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls surrounding QRO's administered revenue.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to improve client services and system efficiencies.
• Leading, supervising and coaching people to develop great performance and promote a constructive culture aligned to our values and expectations, including conducting regular performance and development conversations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• Client accounting and general ledger experience
• An understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel or other data analysis tools
• Knowledge of, and applied experience in analysing and interpreting financial data.
