Join Fitness & Lifestyle Group's (FLG) full-function finance team in the heart of Brisbane's vibrant West End as our Senior Accounts Payable Officer.
In this key role, you'll oversee the entire invoice lifecycle—from initial receipt to final payment.
You'll be responsible for supplier reconciliations, vendor maintenance, auditing expense claims and corporate credit cards, and preparing payment runs for weekly, rental, and intercompany payments.
You'll also guide the accounts payable team and meet daily KPIs for processing queues, ensuring accuracy and efficiency every step of the way.

This is a hybrid role, mixing 60/40 office and work-from-home responsibilities.

It is something we are proud of at FLG, and you will feel part of the family from day one You'll also benefit from our industry-leading learning and development offering - we pride ourselves on supporting and developing our team members, providing them with the learning and skills they need to build a long-term career with us Key duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Ensure invoices have been captured correctly (tax value, invoice details and payment information), in compliance with Tax Invoice and GST legislative requirements; Meet KPIs regarding processing queues for Accounting Review; Create Vendors, including validating payment details; Perform Vendor Card and Vendor ledger maintenance; Supplier reconciliations and liaise with stakeholders to ensure all invoices are ready for payment; Prepare and load payment runs into the bank for weekly, rental, intercompany and adhoc payments; Review and post payment batches and intercompany transactions in the system; Identify and investigate accounts payable balancing issues, and post adjustments; Create, code and assign existing consolidated invoices and identify opportunities for further consolidation across suppliers.
Manage and respond to incoming email and phone queries in a timely and professional manner; Support the Accounts Payable team and the greater Finance and procurement teams where required; Provide guidance to offshore processing team To be successful in this role you will need: Essential: Demonstrated full function and high-volume Accounts Payable experience in a senior or supervisory capacity; Customer service experience - belief that outstanding customer service is the key to success; Intermediate in Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup, sum-if functions); Exceptional time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines across multiple tasks; Analytical, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Ability to liaise and consult at all organisational levels, conflict resolution; A fast learner of systems and procedures; Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with 'can-do' attitude; Desirable: Exposure to SAP Concur or Microsoft Dynamics NAV is desirable; About Us:
