Forward-thinking organisation is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join the team and play a pivotal role in supporting financial operations.
CBD location Growing industry with excellent career opportunities Permanent full-time position Flexible working arrangements with the ability to work from home 2 days per week The Senior Accountant will support the Group Financial Controller in preparing financial accounts and management reports, analysing financial data, and building financial models that enable data-driven decision-making. This role will be responsible for maintaining the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers to ensure data integrity within the finance system, and manage tax and statutory reporting requirements.

Main Responsibilities Preparation of monthly financial reports and budget variance analysis. Support audit and compliance activities and the preparation of Annual Financial Statements. Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedule. Analysis of operational revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure. Preparation of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare the Business Activity Statement (BAS) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare the annual FBT return and insurance questionnaires. Support the Payroll and Debtors Manager with processing payroll and debtors' activities, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy. About you CA or CPA qualified with Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field. Commercial acumen with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful commentary. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Current knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Taxation legislation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a flexible approach and willingness to support team members. High level attention to detail, process driven, with a commitment to ensuring data integrity. Self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and meet deadlines. Passion for systems and data analysis with exposure to system implementations.
