About the opportunityAs a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial accounting activities within AGIG. Playing a critical role in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and working directly with key stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of stand-alone and consolidated monthly stakeholder and statutory reporting, contributing towards a high-performance, values-driven work culture within the Finance team and its key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Preparation of consolidated monthly financial reports, including detailed variance analysis (revenue, operating, capital, and treasury costs).Preparation of stand-alone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.Preparation of technical accounting papers and alignment of financial policies of the Group to the Australian Accounting Standards.Reconciliation of inter-company transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.Assisting in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.Generation of customer/vendor-specific monthly reports as required.Preparation of reports on capital and pipeline operating costs on a monthly/ yearly basis.Providing support, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and other senior key stakeholders.Continuously identifying and implementing process improvements and planning opportunities.About youProven professional experience in consolidated group reporting roles (Senior Accountant or Group Accountant).Expertise in SAP ECC or SAP S4/HANA (Essential).Advanced Excel skills with strong conceptual and analytical abilities.Degree qualified with CA certification.What we offerWe are proud to be recognised as an inclusive employer by Diversity Council Australia, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has earned us recognition in 2023-2024.
