The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0.
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Accountant will support the AFC Department to provide professional, efficient and systematic processing of all FGJV Accounts function.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance or any other related Commerce fieldCA or CPA QualificationWhite CardExperience: 10 years' experience within an accounting departmentAt least 2 years' experience in a senior rolePreferred experience within a construction (infrastructure) environmentRequired Competencies: Knowledge of SAP and HMSound understanding of financial accounting concepts and Australian Accounting Standards as well as IAS/IFRS and Italian GAAPBanking system knowledgeStrong Microsoft Excel skillsSound problem-solving skillsAbility and desire to coach and guide subordinate team membersCore Accountabilities and Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant will carry out the accurate and timely collection, processing and reporting of accounts payable and financial data.Responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting information within the Snowy 2.0 Project by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions to ensure efficient and accurate financial information.Daily transaction posting and bookkeeping through SAP;Preparation and review of the executive budget at the end of each month, year or following a substantive change;Financial accounting;Bank reconciliation;Cash flow management;General Ledger reconciliation;Internal audit compliance;Coach junior staff in their roles;Strong initiative and proactive nature;Key collaborative skills;Highly developed oral and written communication skills;Sound time management skills.As an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
