Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Rochedale Village Doctors, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow within the company and contribute to our ongoing success. The position will be reporting to the company Director and will involve being an active participant in the excel team performing the following duties but not limited to:
Core duties:

Preparation of financial statements – profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement including forecasted budget periodically for reporting purpose.
Prepare and analyse financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure the company's financial health.
Review and reconcile business bank statements, company transactions, and actual budget against the year's expected budget.
Ensuring that internal financial controls are in place by examining operating costs and the organization's income and expenditure
Preparing the trial balance and examining all general ledger accounts for assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenue.
Assisting with the year-end tax liability calculation preparing the company's income tax return.
Ensure compliance with all tax requirements; reviewing, timely lodging, and payment of regulatory and taxation needs such as GST, BAS, payroll tax, income tax, superannuation, and paperwork for ASIC
Accounting entry structure, compliance-based auditing, accounting information production, and record-keeping
Creating and maintaining all financial transactions for reporting purposes in accounting systems.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and work on implementing changes to enhance financial efficiency.

About You

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
CA/CPA Qualified or working towards this
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
An eagerness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of the company.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
