Day to day you will:
Prepare a range of financial statements in accordance withregulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards acrossvarious industries;Prepare income tax returns for a variety of entitiesincluding companies, trusts and high net worthindividuals;Perform various tax planning tasks for clients andpreparing advice relating to business operations and regulatorymatters;Providing a range of business and tax advisoryservices.As a Senior Accountant, you will also be responsible formanaging some junior staff and clients. In addition, your rolewill incorporate a larger content of more complex work, as wellas a component of advisory matters.About the team We are a dynamic team, focused on ensuring client convenience,proactive communication and forward thinking. What you'll need to succeed Being a team player is crucial to our success. Ourteam-based approach allows us all to get to know our clients anddeliver on their goals and needs. Your background in businessservices, tax or accounting along with a common sense approach willprovide a strong foundation for you to succeed in this role.
Additionally you will bring: Relationship building skills; we work as a wider BusinessServices team and you will need to liaise with various levelsand teams across BDO as well as providing exceptional serviceto our clients;Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability;Demonstrable experience in Australian taxationExcellent attention to detail and a proactive approach towork;Relevant tertiary qualifications;For a Senior - you will be currently completing a CA or CPAqualification; as an Assistant Manager or Manager, we wouldexpect you to be fully qualified.Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS)and/or Xero is desirable.To submit your application please click Apply or for furtherinformation please contact Michelle Lorschy on 8264 6610 for aconfidential conversation.
