Due to our continued growth we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who has worked in Public Practice. Working with our team you'll be working with our clients in a variety of areas including taxation advisory, business structuring, corporate compliance and management consulting. Responsibilities· Preparation of Tax compliance work – ITR, Financial Statements, BAS, FBT etc· Analyse financial information and summarise financial status· Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures· Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process· Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule· Plan, assign and review staff's work· · Ability to liase with the ATO and other regulatory agencies on the clients behalfRequirements· Proven experience as a Senior Accountant· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures· Awareness of business trends· Familiarity with financial accounting statements· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process· Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like MYOB, Xero, FreshBooks and QuickBooks· Accuracy and attention to detail· Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills· BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant· Is highly organised with a superior attention to detail· Enjoys helping people and is committed to delivering a high level of service to our clients· Has a high level of motivation to succeed· Enjoys working in a team environment, having fun and being social· The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA qualified Your application will include the following questions: How many years' experience do you have as an accountant?
