About Our Client My client belongs to a large and well established group of educational facilities based nation wide. This role is based in the Chittering Valley north east of Perth. Job DescriptionEffective management of the organisation's finances so that the short and long-term goals of the school can be realisedEnsuring that there is proper accounting and control over all financial operations of the schoolEnsuring financial and administrative policies are maintained, to ensure strong systems of accounting internal controlPreparing end-of-year financial statements and statutory returnsFinancial management responsibilities for long-term business planning and budgeting, including the development of financial strategies, goals and KPIsManaging and preparing the annual budget and financial plans for all aspects of the school operations, in consultation with the Principal, Leadership Team, teachers and the Finance Team as applicableHaving a strong understanding of the organisation's funding arrangements, with particular emphasis on Commonwealth and State Government funding arrangementsEnsuring you are up to date with the requirements of EREA Colleges Ltd, Government and relevant authoritiesPreparation of financial/statistical questionnaires and documents The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role you will ideally be in a position to start immediately or on short notice. You will also have considerable experience in a similar Senior Financial Accountant role, ideally from within the education sector.
