Financial Accountant

Full time AUD 100000 - 120000 per annum, Working from home, Job Summary:PSG are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant with knowledge of payroll processes to join our clients dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in public practice and be either a qualified or part-qualified Chartered Accountant. This role will be instrumental in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and overseeing the payroll functions.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to support business decision-making.General Ledger Management:Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and documented.Manage accruals, prepayments, and depreciation schedules.Payroll Management:Oversee and manage the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursements.Ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations.Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.Audit and Compliance:Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor and report on budget variances.Provide financial insights to support strategic planning.Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial staff as needed.The candidate:Qualified or part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Extensive knowledge of payroll processes and systems.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.To apply:  Please apply on Seek or send your CV to ****** Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
