We are currently seeking an experienced Client Manager/Account Director to work alongside the Managing Director of a National Insurance Brokerage. In this role, you will support the leadership of an established practice and implement strategies to scale and grow the division.

The Role:Developing and executing strategies to strengthen segments, drive new business, improve retention, and enhance cross-selling opportunities.Leading top-level client relationship management to build a reputation that generates new opportunities and strengthens existing client arrangements.Driving thought leadership and innovation with clients.Overseeing budgets and managing profitability for portfolios.Leading a high-performing team with clear KPIs and high engagement.Ensuring effective collaboration and synergy across teams and functions.Driving product utilisation, innovation, and channel strategy.Managing resources and expenses efficiently.Identifying and implementing process improvements.Reporting on portfolio performance and providing insights into risks and opportunities.Delivering client value by leveraging relationships, industry knowledge, and providing distinctive solutions.Developing talent and building a high-performing team through continuous learning, feedback, development, and disciplined talent management.
About You:Driven and dynamic leader with exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.5+ years' experience in client management or business development within the insurance industry, ideally in the Affinity or small business space.Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) and/or Diploma of Insurance Broking preferred, or a relevant University degree.Strong technical understanding of the insurance industry, with knowledge of Health and Professions products an advantage.Proven experience in developing and executing business strategy.Experience managing and mentoring teams, training, and leading team members in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated track record of delivering results, including achieving growth and retention targets.Experience in managing budgets and forecasts.Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships, preferably in the insurance industry.Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.Experience with digital acquisition and improving customer experience.
