Job Summary of SEMH Teaching Assistant: As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping every student succeed academically and personally, no matter their social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You'll collaborate with teachers and other professionals to offer tailored support and use strategies that encourage positive behavior and overall wellbeing.
Job Responsibilities for SEMH Teaching Assistant: Provide targeted support to the students with SEMH needs.As an SEMH Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.Providing special support to students with SEMH individually to grab their attention.Have to work closely with the teachers and the other organizational staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.Have to try to catch all students unique strengths and challenges, especially those challenged ones.A supportive and playful learning environmentCollaborate with other teachers to enhance the learning strategies for the challenged students.Participate in school events and activities that enrich the student's experience.Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)Qualifications as a SEMH Teaching Assistant: Must have DBS (updated service) to safeguard the learners' issues.Highly recommend patience as you need to work with SEMH learners.Experienced candidates in the relevant field will be preferred.Must have a certain degree in the related field.Have to work under every circumstance individually or in a team.Patience, empathy, and resilience.What We Offer: A supportive and team-oriented work environmentOpportunities for ongoing professional development and career growthThe chance to make a positive difference in the lives of young studentsJoin us as an SEMH Teaching Assistant and be part of a team that values every student's potential!
