The Self-Managed Team Guide plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality support in alignment with the VIVA Team Framework. This role emphasizes promoting the autonomy of self-managed teams, enhancing client self-reliance, and fostering professional growth among Support Workers. Key responsibilities include mentoring and coaching support staff, ensuring quality service delivery, assisting with client onboarding and case reviews at the direction of the Service Coach or Service Coach Lead, and ensuring implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The Self-Managed Team Guide works collaboratively with the Support Centre, service coaches, and other teams to embed VIVA Mutual's culture and values into daily practice and drive organizational improvements for optimal performance.
Skills and Knowledge: Tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, or relevant experience.Ability to work collaboratively within self-managed teams, promoting autonomy and self-reliance.Demonstrated ability to effectively support and mentor peers in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.Strong understanding of and ability to apply NDIS standards and principles in daily practice.Knowledge of relevant WHS regulations and quality management systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, team members and with a diverse range of stakeholders.Proficiency in conducting comprehensive client intake processes and developing individualized support plans.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and empathy.Ability to build relationships and influence others positively within the organizationHigh level of organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software systemsAdditional certifications or training in areas related to disability support, aged care, or community services. Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in a support work, coordination or equivalent role within the disability, aged care, or community services sector.Proven experience in mentoring and coaching support staff to enhance professional development and service delivery.Demonstrated ability to empower clients and support staff to achieve their goals and enhance their capacity for self-management.Experience in maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
