A state government organisation is looking for a Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer based in North Brisbane; 5-month contract; $87 per hour + super.About Our ClientAlchemy Recruitment Consulting is partnering with a state government organisation to search for a Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer under a 5-month contract.What You Will Do:Develop and maintain security tools and systems to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats.Implement Agile practices for continuous security improvement and enhance automation in the CI/CD pipeline.Monitor, analyze, and triage security events; coordinate penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.Author and maintain documentation; offer expert guidance on technology and process selection.Advise on secure technology use and assess changes in relevant government policies.What You Will Bring:Proven experience in designing and implementing security controls across various domains, including Identity and Cloud Platforms.Effective communication skills for conveying risk and issues to both business and technical stakeholders.Knowledge of integrating IT with business processes and people.A criminal history check will be required; disclosure of any serious disciplinary actions from public sector roles is necessary.Experience in delivering security policy and program advice, using Agile tools, and collaborating with teams to set and achieve goals.How To ApplyIf you have the required qualifications and are looking to secure your next career move, we want to hear from you.
