About the Role:
This is a newly created role to replace someone who has been promoted into a role in the US. Leadership across Cloud, Application Security, Data and Network security functions - this is a hybrid technical and leadership style role. You will be leading a team of 3 with a view that you can hire 1 more person after you begin. The business is running a modern Kubernetes-based technical environment; you will need to have strong experience across cloud-native technologies in general along with the ability to write code. This isn't about building applications from scratch, but rather stitching together open-source tooling and internally built tooling - it is above scripting level coding though. If you have ever wanted to work for a tech firm and get paid in line with it - this is the right type of role for you!

Duties:

Leadership of a small team of security engineers
Work closely with internal teams to stitch together a number of internal security tools
Technical leadership and uplift across broader security initiatives
Run the AppSec, Network Security, Cloud and Data Security functions
Mentor and upskill more junior members of the team

Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Deep technical knowledge and experience across security
Very strong cloud security knowledge and experience
Deep Kubernetes experience and cloud-native technologies
The ability to write code in any language to stitch tooling together
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
The ability to liaise with various internal teams
Industry certifications are highly regarded
