Security (Information & Communication Technology)This security architect will lead the architecture and strategy to help this ASX company minimise risk and achieve a level of data protection across a new program.You will need to be a seasoned professional used to looking at complex data and understanding best security solutions, fit for purpose, and how to manage project stakeholders through the journey.This is a remote role offering an excellent environment with flexibility and a longer term opportunity for strong performers.Having had exposure to data security, data protection and data analytics or behavioural analytics.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of security architecture and strategy to ensure data protection across a new program.Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand complex data requirements and provide fit-for-purpose security solutions.Design and deliver robust security solutions that minimize risk and protect sensitive data assets.Develop and enforce security best practices and ensure alignment with industry standards.Work closely with internal teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to ensure comprehensive security governance.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data security and protection practices.Provide leadership and guidance to technical teams, ensuring that security architecture principles are embedded in project designs.Stay up-to-date with emerging data security trends, threats, and regulatory requirements.Required Experience:Extensive experience as a Security Architect or in a senior security role, ideally in an ASX-listed company or similar enterprise.Proven experience in data security, data protection, and understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR or similar.Strong background in security architecture design and risk management across complex data environments.Exposure to data analytics or behavioral analytics, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks related to data flows and storage.Deep knowledge of encryption technologies, access control models, and security protocols.Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and leading projects across multiple business functions.Familiarity with cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and securing hybrid cloud environments.Hands-on experience with security tools, data loss prevention (DLP), identity and access management (IAM), and other data protection technologies.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF) are highly desirable.This role is looking for somebody to start asap, but can wait for the right person.
